Paramount+ has announced that the all-new original film based around Rosemary’s Baby will premiere this fall exclusively on Paramount+ in the US and in select international markets. APARTMENT 7A, a psychological thriller starring Golden Globe winner Julia Garner and directed by Natalie Erika James. Set in 1965 New York City, the film tells the story prior to the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby, exploring what happened in the apartment before Rosemary moved in.
When a struggling, young dancer (Garner) suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame.
“APARTMENT 7A is the perfect way to kick off the Halloween season,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+. “Director Natalie Erika James and the prodigious creative team have crafted a chilling and clever new entry into the genre.”
Rosemary’s Baby, a hit novel by Ira Levin, became an iconic film in 1968 and a massive success. A two part, made for TV remake emerged in 2014 starring Zoe Saldana to less than favoubile reviews.
