Feedback, Fallout and Contributions

Jeremy Harpham – I too was looking for a recent i5 or higher 16GB chromebook recently Gareth and couldn’t find any models available in the UK. My Chromebox is 16GB but when I started monitoring memory usage (using diagnostics) I never saw a point when I was using more than 8GB – this is since Google optimised Chrome and Chrome OS with recent updates. In the end I bought the i5 8GB Acer 516GE and it is highly recommended as a great all-rounder with a fab 16″ screen in a virtually 15″ and light, too. The only downside is battery life where I tend to get around 6 hours compared to 10 or more on other Chromebooks – the price you pay for the spec I guess. £849 from Acer
