Tech Addicts 2026 – Smooth Sounds, Hard Clicks and a Retro Fix

Alright, tech heads, here’s what’s buzzing this week: We’re diving wrist-first into the sleek, premium vibes of the OnePlus Watch 4 Titanium, then switching gears to pure audiophile bliss with the Topping DX9 DAC to see if it really earns its bragging rights. We also explore a clever browser tool that might just expose whether you can actually hear the difference between FLAC and MP3 (brace yourself), before getting hands-on with the futuristic Turtle Beach MC7 wireless mouse, yes, it’s got a touchscreen. Retro lovers, you’re eating good too, as SNK teases a modern take on the NeoGeo AES, blending nostalgia with new-school convenience. And finally, we round things out with Roberts’ latest portable radios, proving that classic listening still has a place in our always-online world.

Feedback on Hiding my Film/TV files from Google Photos

Ted recipe…

  • Make a folder on the card, say “Video Parent”.
  • Put the .nomedia file in that folder.
  • Make another folder off of “Video Parent” called, say “Ted’s Videos”.
  • Put all the video files in there (in nested folder structure if you like), then get VLC (or other players) to reindex from that folder, not the first.
  • So Google Photos (and the Android system) ignores “Ted’s Videos” (because of the .nomedia file in that folder) and the thumbnails are not littered through the Google Photos App.
  • And VLC (and any other Media Playing app) is happy once pointed to Ted’s Videos (and sub-folders) and indexed again.
  • The trick was nesting one folder in another and putting the .nomedia file in the first one, then flowing the nest of folders further down the tree.

Now, the Xperia 5 Mk V’s poxy little 128GB storage is near-empty and everything is on my super-fast 1TB microSD Card!
