In case anyone is after a high power Chromebook for a half reasonable price, I just bought a Lenovo C630 brand new for £599 from Lenovo direct. That price gets an 8th gen i7 (quad core, 8 threads), 16GB Ram, 128GB storage, and 15.6 inch 4K display. Updates are planned to continue until 2025 but I am confident that they will continue longer due to the Neverware acquisition.
