Short Changed by the Last Episode. It was only 1hr 55 mins, five minutes short of two hours 😈 Re VW Beetle I think the English translation of VW is “Car for the people”. Ted, you can’t say your Beetle was black – it was a “Car of colour”.

Tech Lust! This has to be the ultimate in Mobile Mifi Hotspots. Superfast 5G, Wifi 6. 13hr (removable!) battery life. Support for external antennas. Can be used as a router at home/office with ability for mains power with no battery charging. I think they thought of everything. But the price…£750 unlocked! I think I spotted an EE offer of £300 upfront and £60 a month. Gulp. Reviews from people with great 5G (e.g. central London, New York) say the performance is just stunning. They also do a range of 4G, 4G+ ones. All equally expensive – but then you are buying the Rolls Royce of hotspots!

Ian Barton on Prowlarr

Since we got Starlink with excellent download speeds it seemed a shame to waste it on just watching YouTube. Recently I built a new server using UNRAID which supports using Docker containers. Docker is a system of creating containers that are completely isolated from the main operating system but can communicate with other Docker containers and the underlying operating system. They are very easy to install and uninstall without leaving bits of themselves in the underlying operating system. I now use Prowlarr for downloading films, TV programmes, etc. to my server as Prowlarr is integrated into a system that makes it very easy to search various torrents and download files. You could use it to pirate films and TV, but you can eliminate the time-consuming task of ripping your DVD collection with Handbrake. You can feed all your download streams through a VPN making it almost impossible to track you. You can always buy the DVD from somewhere like Music Magpie to keep yourself legal. The system integrates well with Plex and Emby and if the Movie you want is available in various formats e.g. Blueray and DVD you can choose which version to search for and download.
