Apple’s Cape Fear – Bardem Brings the Fear!

Apple Inc. has unveiled a teaser trailer for a third version of Cape Fear, a new “highly anticipated” psychological thriller series starring Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, and Javier Bardem. The 10-episode limited series will debut on Apple TV on Friday, June 5, with the first two episodes dropping at launch, followed by weekly installments every Friday through July 31.

In this latest retelling, a storm brews for married attorneys Anna and Tom Bowden when Max Cady, a dangerous criminal they helped imprison, is released and sets his sights on revenge. The story draws from a long lineage, tracing back to the 1957 novel The Executioners by John D. MacDonald, which inspired the 1962 film and later the 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg.

The new series is created by Nick Antosca, who also serves as showrunner, with Scorsese and Spielberg returning as executive producers. Cape Fear continues to evolve as a modern psychological thriller, reimagining a decades-spanning story for a new audience on Apple’s streaming platform.
