The Blind Dead Sail Again: The Ghost Galleon Returns in Chilling 4K
Bizzaro is set to release a new combo pack edition of Amando de Ossorio’s The Ghost Galleon (also known as Horror of the Zombies) on April 28. Starring Maria Perschy, Jack Taylor, Bárbara Rey, Carlos Lemos, and Manuel de Blas, the film marks the third entry in de Ossorio’s cult-favorite Blind Dead saga, following the success of Tombs of the Blind Dead. This latest release promises a fully uncut presentation, newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative, along with a host of brand-new and archival extras.
The film centres on a publicity stunt gone disastrously wrong when two models become stranded in fog-laden waters and encounter a spectral galleon, home to the undead Knights Templar… known as the Blind Dead. When the women vanish, a rescue team boards the ghostly vessel, only to find themselves ensnared in a nightmarish world of satanic rituals and ancient curses. Blending Gothic horror with a surreal, dreamlike atmosphere, The Ghost Galleon has earned a reputation among genre fans for its eerie tone and inventive mythology, standing out as one of the saga’s most unusual and memorable installments.
