There seems to be a lot of debate as to the intentions if the new film Terminator: Dark Fate. On the one hand it totally removes three films and a TV series from the franchise, making The Terminator a trilogy again. On the other it seems to be capitalising on the original two movies’ immense popularity more so than other franchises.
Arnie took to Reddit to stir up some excitement by release four of his favourite behind the scenes pictures from the original movies. These are terrific to see and provide a good reminder of the original blend of low budget film making and love for the craft. Arnie has famously remarked that he did not believe in the original when it was in production, doing it entirely for the money and expecting it to be a forgettable film in his increasing body of work. When all was said and done it turned out to be one of his finest.
These images are enough to get you sitting down and watching The Terminator again instead of traipsing out to lay good money down on potential garbage. Because, let’s face it, if a sequel doesn’t work, just ignore it.
